Position Summary:

We are currently hiring for an Production and Operations Manager for our plant (LogoSportsWear) in Wallingford, CT.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify the Digital Room Core Values in all aspects as role model for all Production Managers and employees.
  • Assists with the implementation of efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Interfaces with all supervisors to ensure highest degree of final quality and develop new and improved quality methods.
  • Assist in the development and communication of goals and key initiatives to improve production performance and success.
  • Develops, monitors, and provides access to daily production requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of the skills of the labor force to manage in time of employee absence or unexpected peak demands · Maintains knowledge of machine capacity and develops solutions for efficient utilization.
  • Ensures all safety rules and regulations are followed; investigates and communicates nature of accidents in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
  • Prepares all required reports and correspondence.
  • Monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops production staff; manages schedules and workflow for all production shifts.
  • Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Assists in overseeing maintenance and upkeep of the building, equipment, and the grounds.
  • Assists in planning, budgeting, and scheduling facility modifications, including cost estimates.
  • Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and production equipment.
  • Assists in machinery troubleshooting.
  • Assists in the acquisition and deployment of all facility and production equipment.
  • Controls hazardous materials, maintains SDS books and the “Right to know” area and supplies in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
  • Oversees supply chain staff who ensure that all orders are pre-screened for issues (fraud, copyright, etc.) and are pipelined through production correctly.
  • Work with supply vendors and outsource partners to manage and improve costs and delivery times.
  • Assist merchandising and finance departments to build and maintain our relationship with all vendors and outsource partners.
  • Oversee the procurement of all substrates and production supplies, analyzing and optimizing costs and coordinate timelines of delivery.
  • Responsible for ensuring we meet on-time delivery guarantees for all customer orders
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent.
  • Two to four years related experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and uphold safety requirements and precautions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent.
